40k Lords of War

Greetings fellow warriors! Based out of San Jose, CA the 40k Lords of War is a Warhammer 40k gaming club located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. We play the 5th Edition ruleset.

Our members have various armies and we play whenever we have a chance to get together. Our members are located throughout the Bay Area and many have tables for gaming.

About Us

Based out of San Jose, CA, the Lords of War play all flavors of Warhammer 40k. From tournament style games to Apoc to combat patrols we enjoy pitting our armies against each other in epic battles of death and destruction.

If you'd like to play some 40k with us, join our Meetup Group to receive upcoming event information.

All we ask is that you 1) be at least 18 years of age 2) make an effort to learn the rules/paint your models and 3) be a good sport that is fun to play with.

Join our Games

Tournament Games

We play primarily tournament style games. Quite often we'll have multiple tables going at the same time with many players battling each other for domination and glory!

We play the 5th Edition rules -the best ruleset ever!. Tournament rules will be provided in advance of the event.

You will need a fully painted and based army of 1500 points to participate plus two copies of your army list. (Please see the full list of legal armies in the rules pack). Models must be WYSIWYG and no proxies are allowed.

Apocalypse Games

Ready to clash with the big boys? Join in on an Apoc game and experience epic battles of untold destruction!

Our members have various Titans, Gargantuan Creatures, and Superheavy Vehicles to compliment their deadly forces. These games range from 6k to 14k points and can take all day to play. We team up and ally our forces to unleash savage carnage against our opponents.

You should expect to have a 2k-4k pt army to participate. These games are organized well in advance so you know what to bring. Go BIG or don't go at all!

Other Games

Once you join our Meetup Group you can start discussions to reach other members and set up casual games.

We often team up with our armies to have "big" games of 4k-6k points. These battles make for epic clashes and it's fun to team up with an ally, too.
